Kingdom of Bahrain by Roja Parfums

Kingdom of Bahrain by Roja Parfums. One of my favorites from the Roja Gulf Collection. This is perhaps one of the best examples of a pure ambergris based fragrance. The saltiness of the ambergris mixed with Bahrain’s intoxicating woody and citrus elements are a perfect balance between land and sea. I am reminded of a mixture between yearly Christmas tree cutting, burning candle wicks, and salty seaside air. A really reflective and contemplative olfactory experience. Kingdom of Bahrain brings together very different parts of my scent memory as if they could be traced to one specific time and place. The journey of scent nostalgia will never cease to amaze me.
